Sayre locals to entertain in Dinner Theater

The Friends of the Sayre Public Library (FOTSPL) are hosting a dinner theater as a fundraiser to help get the library a storage building.

The Friends of the Sayre Public Library (FOTSPL) are hosting a dinner theater as a fundraiser to help get the library a storage building.

They are putting together a comedy parody on the infamous Titanic movie. The FOTSPL have been working hard and preparing for months to get this done. They have all come together with great ideas and have even written their own script.

We have a hilarious cast. Jamey Guy plays Rose, Ben Perkins plays Jack, Zea Miller plays Cal, Skyler Scott plays Captain, Thomas Patten plays Febreeze, Penny Patten plays Molly, Sue Warnke plays Roses’ mother “Chrysanthemum”, and Dawnia Nalley plays Old Rose. There are so many people working behind the scenes for this. The FOTSPL are hoping this can be an annual event. We just want to bring entertainment to Sayre that as a community, we can look forward to.

The dinner theater will take place at the First United Methodist Church in Sayre, April 27, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. Doors will open at 6:30 P.M. The event is being catered by BranBar Diner in Sayre. Child care is also being offered, for an additional cost, by Red Dirt Tumbling here in Sayre. Tickets are now on sale at the Library $30/ticket or $50/couple or $200/for a table of 8. Tickets include dinner and dessert.

We are encouraging people to dress during the period or black tie but only if you want to. No pressure. We honestly don’t care if you show up in pajamas, we just want you to come support the community We also have 2 tickets to raffle off to see “Mamma Mia! the live action play in OKC at the Civic Center. For every ticket you buy before April 13th, you will receive one entry into the raffle. More chances can be purchased for $20/ticket. These two tickets are valued at $204.

For more information you can contact the library at 580-9282641.
