Elk City Brown and White Track Classic Results

At the end of every school year, Elk City holds it’s annual Brown and White Class Track Meet.

At the end of every school year, Elk City holds it’s annual Brown and White Class Track Meet.

The event brings teams from western and central Oklahoma to compete.

Several Beckham County students had winning performances.

The overall team winners of the male team scores was Altus High School.

Elk City came in third with 101 points.

Merritt High School earned 33.5 points against the larger school to come in eighth place.

On the female teams’ side, Weatherford High School won.

Merritt High School came in sixth with 61 points.

Elk City High School came in eighth with 30 points.

Elk City boys 4x100m relay came in first place with a run of 43.09 seconds.

Merritt boys came in sixth with 47.02 seconds.

In the girls 100m hurdles, Merritt’s Breegan Barnett came in second with 16.45 seconds. She was beat by only .15 seconds.

ECHS’s Ameri Atterbery was right behind them with 17.18 seconds, coming in third place.

The ECHS boys again won first in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:30.83 minutes.

Elk City Elk Ethan Banks was first in the boys 800m run.

Banks came in with a time

of 2:03:67. However, Merritt High School’s Riley Herndon brought in second with 2:11:67.

Merritt’s Dawson Mitchell came in fifth place.

ECHS’s Tommy Bailey came in twelfth place.

Erick High School’s Baylor Crosby also ran great race for fifteenth place.

In the girl’s 100m dash, Madison Holladay came in third place with 12.95.

Right behind her was Madalyn Wimberly with 13.07 for fourth place.

Jhournee Reese, a ECHS freshmen, came in tenth place with a time of 13.45.

In the boys 3200 run, ECHS junior Jack Morgan came in second with 10:32:76.

ECHS’s Jeron Seymour came in third in the boys 300m hurdles.

Merritt High School’s girls clinched a bronze medal in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:25.40.

Oiler Luke Peffer came in second in the boys high jump.

Elk City’s Cooper Garbarino came in second in the pole vault.

His teammate Evan Putnam came in third.

Breegan Barnett earned another medal, coming in second in the girls long jump.

ECHS’s Payton Jackson got fourth in that event.
