Beginning on June 2, the Clinton Chamber of Commerce and Scissortail Productions will host the Levit AMP Clinton Music Series.

Beginning on June 2, the Clinton Chamber of Commerce and Scissortail Productions will host the Levit AMP Clinton Music Series.

The shows will be weekly from 7-9 pm at McLain Rogers Park until August 4, according to Scissortail Productions Executive Director Dr. Susan Adams Johnson.

“This is a concert series not only for the people of Clinton but all the surrounding communities and travelers on Route 66,” said Dr. Adams Johnson. “I live in Norman and would say that it will offer acts that Oklahomas will appreciate. We will have several national and regional acts. People can expect to see groups like the Red Dirt Rangers and Cowboy Jones. Dr. Irv Waggoner, an OU jazz artist, will perform.”

The Levit AMP Clinton Music Series will also feature food trucks. Dr. Adams Johnson and her co-producers are still seeking food vendors. Interested vendors should contact the Clinton Chamber of Commerce.

“This will be like a weekly mini-festival,” Dr. Adams Johnson explained. “We also hope to have art vendors. The park is beautiful with putt-putt and a water park. We encourage people to come out with their lawn chairs for a summer of fun.”
