Sayre High School sophomore Kambryn Millar brought home the Grand Champion Overall with her barrow pig on February 26.

“She worked very hard for this,” her mother said.

Millar won with a Hampshire pig. She showed a second pig that also received big ribbons at the county show.

Millar has had the pigs since October. Both pigs made the premium sale at the show.

She also received a belt buckle.

Millar says she learned responsibility from caring for the pigs.

“I had to feed them twice a day, walk them, water them. I cleaned their pins every two weeks. Each pig has a personality of their own, so that is cool. It takes a lot of dedication,” she said.

Her pigs are named Winston and Waylon. She will take the pigs to OYE at the end of March. Her pigs are named Winston and Waylon.
