How is everyone liking this spring forward bit? It’s been a challenge to get up and around and go to work on time for sure!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Shamrock will be hosting their 77th Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration beginning this Thursday evening, 3/14, and lasting through Sunday, 3/17. The carnival will be open from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, 3/14. Another one of the highlights that I know many Erick people get out for besides the carnival, will be the parade which will begin at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, 3/16, down Main Street. This is a fun event to kick off spring break for the kiddos! There are far too many events to mention in this column, but you can find the days and times of all the events listed on shamrockstpatricksday. com.
Spring break for Erick begins 3/11, technically they are out on 3/8 as well, and they will head back to school on 3/18. That’s a nice break for everyone. All my bunch, three in Calumet and one in Afton, are out the week after that for their breaks.
Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with the family of Ofilia De Leon. Services were held Saturday, 3/2, at the Erick Church of Christ.
