The Southwest Farm and Home Expo will take place April 13th and 14th at the Elk City Convention Center. The Chamber of Commerce has open registration for the event. This will be the 40th anniversary for the event that continues to grow into a solid opportunity to showcase products and services in the region.
The deadline for registration and payment is no later than March 13th. Exhibitors must submit the registration form to the Elk City Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 972, Elk City, OK 73648, or deliver it to 102 S. Main in Elk City. There are choices of location, which include an outside space, north exhibit hall, or south exhibit hall. There will be electricity in the spaces.
The expo fees for the north hall start are $225 and go up to $475. The south hall spaces are either $100 or $375, and the outside space fees are $175. There are additional charges for tables and chairs, while chamber members get a $25 discount.
The schedule for the weekend begins Friday, April 12th, at 10 a.m., when exhibitors register in the main exhibit hall. At 4 p.m. the exhibitor hospitality room will open, and at 6 p.m. the hall will close. Security will be provided.
Saturday, April 13th, the expo will open to the public at 9 a.m. and be opened all day. At 2 p.m. the All-Breed Bull Sale will take place in the south hall. At 6 p.m. the expo will close for the day.
Sunday, April 14th, the expo will open again at noon. At 1 p.m. the Children’s Pedal Tractor Pull will take place. This event is for children from four years old to 12. Registration will be at 1 p.m. with the actual race starting at 1:30 p.m. in the south exhibit hall. Also, at 1 p.m., the BBQ Cook-Off Judging starts in the east room. The Antique Tractor Display will be held all day on the south exhibit grounds. At 4 p.m. the FFA Ag Mechanics and BBQ Cook-off Awards and Scholarship Presentation will be held in the north exhibit hall stage.
