A Thank You To The People Of Beckham County

As of February 7, 2024, we passed on ownership of Beckham County Abstract Co., Inc., not just as a business, but as a family, a legacy that weathered the sands of time for 120 years.

As of February 7, 2024, we passed on ownership of Beckham County Abstract Co., Inc., not just as a business, but as a family, a legacy that weathered the sands of time for 120 years.

Th e Cornels’ family business has been more than just a source of livelihood, it has been a testament to the values that have defined us throughout the years. We have embraced change, and adapted to the ever evolving needs of the land title business. As we announce the decision to transition to a new chapter, it is with mixed emotions, but also with overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude.

For over a century, our business has been woven into the fabric of Western Oklahoma. It has been the backdrop for the transfer of other family legacies of Beckham County and a conduit for connections that transcend generations. It has been a profound privilege to have served the people of Beckham County and to have witnessed the growth and transformations that have shaped Western Oklahoma. We are excited to announce that a new chapter is about to unfold for the Beckham County land title business. In choosing Todd McCue, his wife Angie and son Braxton, a family of fourth and fifth generation abstractors, to continue this legacy, we have meticulously sought out individuals who share our values, the commitment to community, and the passion for excellence. Together with continued help and guidance of Debbie Boswell and Sharon Troxell, dedicated employees that have served our firm with distinction for many years, we are confident that they will not only honor the tradition we hold dear but also bring fresh ideas and innovations to propel the land title business into the future.

While the Cornels’ family bid farewell to the day-to-day operations of this business, we do not bid farewell to the memories, the relationships and profound impact it has had on all our lives.

On behalf of E.F. Cornels, Caroline Cornels, Fred B. Cornels, Aline Ewton Cornels, Carlton C. Cornels, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Cornels, Peggy Cornels Mihm, Judy Cornels Love, Kay Cornels McClain, Mary Specht Cornels, Chris Cornels and myself Emil Cornels, current President of Beckham County Abstract Company, Inc. we thank the people of Beckham County and beyond for allowing us to be a small part of the rich tapestry of Western Oklahoma. Cheers to 120 years of service and to many more years of success of the land title business with the expertise of the McCue family taking it forward under the banner of Beckham Abstract and Title, L.L.C., 211 East Main Street, Sayre, Oklahoma.
