An arrest warrant has been issued for a 36-year-old Elk City man after being arrested for one felony charge of domestic assault and battery and one count of kidnapping.
If convicted, Cory Lee Meade faces up to four years in prison.
The investigation began on January 24 when an Elk City Police Department officer learned of a possible domestic, but law enforcement had not had success in contacting the alleged victim or suspect.
The officer was able to find the alleged victim on January 26.
The alleged victim reportedly alleged that Meade would not let her have her possessions, hit her dog with a golf club and then hit her with the golf club on the left side of her head.
Meade allegedly continued to strike her with the golf club in the legs. He then allegedly held her down on the ground before grabbing her by the throat.
The officer photographed the injuries.
