Elk City Varsity Elks Claims Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Harrah

Elk City Varsity Elks nabbed the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Harrah on Friday. The game was tied at three with Elk City Varsity Elks batting in the bottom of the sixth when Rylan Parks singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Elk City Varsity Elks nabbed the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Harrah on Friday. The game was tied at three with Elk City Varsity Elks batting in the bottom of the sixth when Rylan Parks singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Harrah got things started in the first inning. Z Thompson grounded out, scoring one run.

Elk City Varsity Elks evened things up at three in the bottom of the fourth inning when Max Trotter singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

After Harrah scored one run in the top of the second, Elk City Varsity Elks answered with one of their own. Elk City Varsity Elks then answered when Rylee Boyd grounded out, scoring one run.

Aiden Hopper earned the win for Elk City Varsity Elks. Hopper went one inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out one and walking zero. Austin Jones threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

C Whitnah was on the pitcher’s mound for Harrah. The pitcher went five and a third innings, allowing four runs on nine hits and striking out one. B Costilla threw two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen.

Harrison Mayfield started the game for Elk City Varsity Elks. The righty lasted three innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out two and walking one Elk City Varsity Elks tallied ten hits on the day. Kash Mayfi eld, Catch Geno, and Trotter each had multiple hits for Elk City Varsity Elks. Trotter, Geno, and Mayfield each collected two hits to lead Elk City Varsity Elks.w
