Eighth grade students in Northfork Electric Cooperative’s service area have the opportunity to experience leadership and energy in a whole new light this summer. Applications are now sought for the 2024 session of Youth Power Energy Camp held annually at Canyon Camp in Hinton.
The four-day camp will be May 28-31, 2024, and will help attendees develop leadership skills while learning about electrical energy, safety, cooperatives and other electrical related information. In addition, students will spend time swimming, hiking, riding go-carts, and other fun activities all while making new friends. NFEC’s two winners will join other students from across the state for this exciting, educational event.

2. Students must complete an entry form and answer the following leadership questions: A. What activities are you involved in at school and within your community?
B. What leadership skills have you learned by being in these activities?
C. What are your top three accomplishments?
D. Which accomplishment is the most important to you and why?
E. Who do you admire and why? F. What’s your ideal job or career and why? 3. Deadline for all entries is April 12, 2024. 4. Attach a completed entry form with your typed responses to the leadership questions and email to [email protected]. You can also mail applications to NFEC, PO Box 400, Sayre, OK 73662. 5.
