A 37-year-old Elk City woman is being held on a $10,000 bail in the Beckham County Detention Center after being charged with child neglect, possession of drug paraphernalia and use of drug paraphernalia.

On February 7, an Elk City Police Department officer executed a search warrant on the residence of Whitney Bagby when they allegedly discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the residence.

Bagby allegedly admitted to possessing the items.

“These items were found on the floor in the corner of her bedroom, openly accessible by the minor children living in the residence.

The reporting officer also noted that Bagby’s purse contained drinking alcohol, which is reportedly a violation of Bagby’s probation rules and conditions.

Bagby was placed under arrest at the time.

She is due back in the Beckham County District Court on March 18.
