A 34-year-old Noble man is being held on a $20,000 bond in the Beckham County Detention Center after being arrested for domestic abuse resulting in great bodily injury.
The investigation began on the evening of February 4 when the Sayre Police Department received a call from the 700 block of North 2nd Street, where a man had allegedly committed domestic assault and battery against his girlfriend.
The alleged victim reportedly had hand marks around her neck.
Richard Dale Welch was identified as the suspect. A witness reportedly saw Welch arrive on the 700 block of North 2nd Street and strangle the alleged victim.
Welch reportedly denied assaulting the alleged victim.
