A 47-year-old Canute man has been charged with possession of a schedule I or II drug and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers execute arrest warrant for possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.
The investigation began on January 27 after an Elk City Police officer notified fellow officers that he had attempted to catch Jeffrey Harris in a vehicle he commonly travels in.
Approximately fifteen minutes later, a second officer spotted the vehicle and made a traffic stop.
The passenger, identified as Harris, allegedly tried to exit the vehicle.
Officers reportedly found methamphetamine in the vehicle.
The driver, Sandra Davis, was also allegedly in possession of fentanyl.
