This play was written by Joseph Kesselring in 1939. The film adaptation was directed by Frank Capra and starred Cary Grant. The play is considered a farcical black comedy, centered around the Brewster family. Mortimer Brewster works at a prominent New York newspaper and living a happy life. He’s just become engaged, and he gets to visit his sweet spinster aunts to announce the engagement.

Mortimer knew that his family had a bit of a mad gene because his brother believes himself to be Teddy Roosevelt. His world is turned upside down when he realizes that his dear aunts have been poisoning lonely old men over the years. When Mortimer’s brother, Jonathan returns on the night that the aunts were planning to bury their newest victim, Mortimer must rally to help his aunts and protect his fiancé, as well as trying to keep his own sanity.

Tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders on Mon., March 18th, and open to the public on Tues. March 19th. Season tickets are still available by going to the RCCT website, rcct.org.
