A 46-year-old Elk City woman is being held on a $5,000 bond after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, knowingly maintaining a home for keeping or selling controlled dangerous substances, and violation of the Oklahoma Pharmacy Act.

The investigation against Cori Lane Wallace reportedly began on December 27 when an Elk City Police Department detective arrived at the Kings Inn to serve an arrest warrant for a different person.

The detective noted that he “knew Wallace to be connected” with the suspect and knew that room belonged to Wallace.

The detective stated that Wallace allowed him into the motel room and that “drugs and drug paraphernalia” were “out in plain view.”

Wallace reportedly stated that she was not using drugs.

The search reportedly uncovered prescription ibuprofen 800, but the pills were not with a prescription or in a bottle.

Also listed as found were three types of paraphernalia, which reportedly included residue for methamphetamine.

Lastly, marijuana was reportedly found.
