Research has shown that a child with a CASA volunteer is: More likely to find a safe, permanent home More likely to be adopted Half as likely to reenter foster care Less likely to spend time in long-term foster care

Children with a CASA volunteer spend less time in foster care. On the other hand, children without a CASA spend an average of 8 months more in foster care AND are less likely to be bounced from home to home Each CASA volunteer dramatically improves the lives of children experiencing foster care by working with the child until they are placed in a safe, permanent home. CASA volunteers often become the one constant adult presence in the child’s life. CASA of Western Oklahoma worked with over 200 children in 2023 and the need remains great for more volunteers.
