A fire that occurred on January 7 has reportedly left an Erick hotel “destroyed.”
The cause for the fire that engulfed the Lonestar Inn and Suites, located at 115. North Sheb Wooley, remains under investigation by the Oklahoma Fire Marshalls Office.
The call came in at approximately 10:37 am.
At one point, fire agencies were using approximately 1,000 gallons of water per minute while battling the blaze. Firefighters worked for approximately 8-9 hours.
The estimated loss of property is not yet available.
Responding agencies were the Erick, Texola, Delhi, Elk City, and Sweetwater Fire Departments along with the Erick Police Department, the Elk City Police Department, the Beckham County Sheriff ’s Office, and the American Red Cross.
