January 9, 2024 at the Café Clinton, the Washita Chapter NSADAR held the first meeting of the year. The Regent Kay Hagerman opened the meeting with the assistance of the Chaplin Judy Tracy. The group recited the Pledge of Allegiance, the American’s Creed, the Preamble to the Constitution and the Oklahoma Flag Salute.
President General’s Message was given by Ellena Womack. She encouraged the chapters to acknowledge the commemorative events , to encourage Historic Preservation, Education and Patriotism. The reports that the chapters do at years end are historical records of our accomplished services.
“As we begin 2024, be encouraged that every time we volunteer our time in each of our mission areas of Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism, we are honoring the legacy of our Revolutionary War Patriots and ensuring that our country never forgets what it means to be an American. We are always better united.”
Completion of 2023 reports were the focus of the meeting.
The meeting closed with the reading of the Daughter’s Pledge .
