Social media lit up with more than posts about Christmas and New Year last week after the public learned that Elk City was getting a new Allsup’s convenience store.
The announcement came on December 28 when Yesway, the corporation that operates Allsup’s, announced seven new Oklahoma locations.
Along with Elk City, stores coming to two places in Broken Bow, Davis, Tushka, Thackerville, Blanchard, and Kiowa.
Yesway currently has stores in Fredrick, Guymon, Madill, and Altus.
Local Allsup’s fans seemed to be excited about one particular item — their famous beef and bean burrito.
The burrito has a cult following on social media.
Ground is expected to be broken in 2024.
