On Thursday, in the Commons at Elk City High School, Coleman “Kash” Mayfield officially signed his letters of intent to pitch for Oklahoma State University Kash has been a nationally recognized pitcher for several years during his junior high and high school career. He has played in tournaments and leagues throughout the country but is most proud to pitch for his school team, the Big Elks, under Head Coach Jay McClure.
He plans to major in Business.
Kash is the son of Monty and Jeni Mayfield.
He said, “I feel honored to receive this scholarship from OSU to play baseball and further my education. I’m excited to play for Coach Holliday and finally get to work. I committed my freshman year, so it’s been a long time coming and I’m ready for the challenge.”
