Erick man charged with domestic abuse, malicious injury, knowingly injuring property, disruption of an emergency call, and first-degree burglary

A 23-year-old Erick man is being held on a $20,000 bond in the Beckham County Detention Center after being charged with domestic abuse, malicious injury to property under $2,500, knowingly concealing stolen property, disruption of an emergency telephone call, and first-degree robbery when the defendant infl icts serious body injury or threatens immediate serious bodily injury.

The investigation began at approximately 7:23 pm on November 5 when the Elk City Police Department received a call about a possible domestic dispute no longer in progress.

The caller identified Colby Ray Speed as the suspect.

The alleged victim reportedly “displayed a big bruise on her arm.”

Speed had allegedly assaulted the alleged victim, broken a cell phone, and broken the glass window of a car.
