On Saturday, 11/11/23, the Sayre HS Academic team traveled to Mangum for Regionals. THe bracket included the following schools: Comanche, Frederick, Hinton, Hobart, Mangum, Merritt, Minco, and Sayre. Sayre had to play the number 1 seed of Minco for the first round of play and lost my 6 questions. 2nd round, Sayre played Comanche and won by 5 questions. During round 3 we played Hinton and won by 4 questions. In the final round, playing Mangum, Sayre won with a score of 150 to 70. At the end of the tournament, Sayre placed 3rd and will compete in January at Wynnewood for Area. The team is coached by Sheila Hunter and Brenna Sweat.
