Every grade level of education bears its own unique value in a student’s development. Teachers work in unison to build upon a child’s successes of yesterday to promote the successes of tomorrow.
Pre-K teachers take their responsibility in that chain seriously, aware that they set the building blocks upon which the entire process is built.
The same teachers are equally aware that their tiny, precocious pupils must find school fun to absorb the full benefit.
Sayre Pre-K teachers, Mrs. Guy and Mrs. Hill, also know the magic of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The approximately three-hour annual parade began in 1924 and has been nationally televised since 1953.
With giant floats soaring amongst Manhattan’s skyscrapers, broadcasters gush over the lavish holiday decor of each entry.
The Sayre Pre-K saw an inspiration and opportunity for creativity before the students left for their holiday break.
On Friday, the two classes hosted their own miniature Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Most students used shoe boxes to design their model floats but were encouraged to explore creativity.
The kids worked diligently on their individual projects and beamed as they brought their parade to life down the hallways of their school.
