The Merritt Oilers lost their final game against Fairview 54-14, but showed a greater number of first downs and less penalties.
The Merritt touchdowns were were a pass to Caleb Compton from Brylon Jones and a run from Mos Flowers.
“We played pretty good in spots, but Fairview is number 1 for a reason,” said Coach Richardson.
