WILLA MAE DITMORE

Willa Mae Ditmore was born December 10, 1922 to Maude Huls in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She passed on May 19, 2024 in Elk City, OK at the age of 101 years, 5 months, and 9 days. Willa grew up in Clinton, OK attending and graduating in the Clinton public schools. She married to HC (Shady) Ditmore in 1942 and to this union four children were born Carl, Judy Ann, John, and David. Willa worked for Swift Trucking after high school as their secretary in Clinton. After Swift trucking she worked as the accountant for Clinton Sherman Air Force base. Finally she processed loans for Farmer Home Administration (FMHA) in Sayre, OK. She worked at FMHA for 30 years until her retirement.

Willa enjoyed baking. She loved to dance and was known for her square dancing abilities. Willa was talented in embroidery and made many fine and intricate designs.

She is preceded in death by her mom Maude Hulls, daughter Judy Cummings, granddaughter Erin Hudson, great grandson Paul James Hudson.

She is survived by her sons Carl Ditmore of Sayre, OK, John Ditmore of Elk City, OK, and David Ditmore and wife Tammie of Idabel, OK; grandchildren Brian Ditmore, Thomas Ditmore, Gage Fitzgerald, Ralie Ditmore, Piper Ditmore, Liam Ditmore; many extended family and friends.
